III. Converting Sample to Graphite

    The carbon dioxide collected from the last step is then transferred to a line for graphite production. The graphite is produced by conversion of CO2 to carbon monoxide over hot zinc, and this gas is then converted to graphite over hot iron, at about 600°C.
