Robert E. Baver Memorial Scholarship
- Source: The estate of the late Robert E. Baver.
- Eligibility: Students in the College of Arts and Sciences who are outstanding academically and show financial need. Recipients are named by the Dean's Office subject to the approval of the Office of Student Financial Aid.
- Value: Varies
The H.J. and Signe Bonnevie Memorial Scholarship
- Source: An endowment established by a bequest from the estate of the late H. J. and Signe Bonnevie of Tucson. Mr. Bonnevie was originally from Denver, Colorado and founded the Good Life Chemical Company, a manufacturer of Agricultural Products in Effingham, Illinois.
- Eligibility: Entering freshman with outstanding academic records (top 10%) and financial need. Bonnevie Scholarships are available to undergraduate students in any field of science or engineering offered by the University of Arizona. Arizona residency is not a requirement of the Bonnevie Scholarship. Recipients are named by the Office of Student Financial Aid.
- Value: Number varies at $2,500 each. The scholarship may be renewed upon the maintenance of a cumulative grade point average of 3.0. Acceptance of this award indicates a commitment on the part of the recipient to make a contribution of a like amount to this program whenever such a gift is economically feasible.
The Lusk Scholarship in Arts and Sciences
- Source: Gifts from the family of Harry W. and Janet Sine Lusk, 1912, and 1911 graduates of the University of Arizona and life-long residents of Douglas, Arizona.
- Eligibility: Upper division students who are residents of Arizona and graduate of Cochise County high schools and who are enrolled in the University of Arizona College of Arts and Sciences. Students should have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Candidates are nominated by the Office of the coordinating Dean and subject to the approval of the Office of Student Financial Aid.
- Value: At least one each at $500. May be renewed for a second year, with the approval of the Dean's Office, if cumulative grade point average is maintained.
Lorena DeSanctis McDuff Memorial Scholarship
- Source: Family and friends of Lorena DeSanctis McDuff, who did so much to further the goals and objectives of the University of Arizona.
- Eligibility: To be awarded to the outstanding junior in the College of Arts and Sciences, University of Arizona. Selection will be made in the Spring of each year preceding the nominee's senior year. The selection process is completed by April 1. Nominations are made by all Departments in the College of Arts and Sciences, with selection made by the coordinating Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences in conjunction with the Arts and Sciences scholarship committee. Recipients must be approved by the Office of Student Financial Aid.
- Value: $3,500 per year
Erdean Teague Patterson Scholarship
- Source: An endowment established by Mrs. Charles Erdean Patterson.
- Eligibility: Academically outstanding upper division students in the College of Arts and Sciences who have financial need. Recipients, who must be residents of Arizona, are named by the Office of the Dean of Arts and Sciences subject to the approval of the Office of Student Financial Aid.
- Value: $450 annually.
The Adrian Vandeverde, Jr. Memorial Scholarship in the Sciences
- Source: A gift from Mrs. Adrian Vandeverde of Tucson, in memory of her son, Adrian Vandeverde, Jr., a former student of sciences.
- Eligibility: Upper-division students in the area of the sciences. Must be a graduate of Tucson high schools. Recipients are requested to donate a similar amount to this scholarship after meeting their professional goals. Candidates are nominated by the various department chairmen and selected by the Office of Student Financial Aid.
- Value: one at $300.
The Ruben and Myron Winslow Memorial Scholarships
- Source: A gift from the estates of the late Ruben Winslow and his son, Myron N. Winslow.
- Eligibility: Upper-division students at the University of Arizona. Residency is not a factor, but recipients must have demonstrated exceptional academic ability. The Colleges of Mines, Arts and Sciences, Agriculture and Engineering will each award scholarships annually. Recipients are subject to approval of the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences and the Office of Financial Aid.
