Grand Canyon trip photo album

Between the 15th and the 21st of may, the unfortunate soul below

having been offered by these two insane individuals (whom I take the occasion to thank!)

the (not quite unique but pretty rare) chance to spend a few days going into one of the earth's biggest holes, just couldn't turn it down.

For friends, family, and other random interested people, I'm putting online some of the best pictures which came out of that endeavor. If you think best is still not good enough... well, you're absolutely right, the pictures could have been a lot better. In fact, this small minority is the best I've got! Between the not quite top-notch camera, my lack of photographing ability, the sheer enormity of scale of that thing and it's very unusual perspective, taking good pictures of the canyon is NOT easy.

However, I hope this stuff will be enough to for you to get at least an idea of what the place is like, or at least get you to realize the fact that this IS one of the most beautiful places on earth, and, provided you have the organisational skills to go there (I don't. the only reason I went is because someone took all the permits and didn't go at the last minute) as well as the stamina to walk 20+ Km on very steep inclines, you should very much go!

Happy virtual hiking. To get the full size image just click on the picture.
