THE DESCENT

I guess that at the time of this picture I haven't looked carefully enough at what was just behind me, hence my relatively calm expression.

However, the fact that the next day I'd have to go down THERE

(No, this is not an aerial view. I was ACTUALLY standing that close to the edge. And that path you see down below is Plateau point, only half way to the Canyon bottom!) pretty soon made itself felt.

So, laden with our 2 litres or so of water needed for that climate (if you go ,DON'T FORGET THE WATER) off we went down the more or less-beaten track
