This is HW 1 problem set , due on Friday August 31 2007 of the
PHY161H class for Fall 2007 Lecturer: J. Rafelski.

RECALL: you are expected to do these problems and have a clean write up, but there is no hand-in, instead there will be a 12 min quiz valued at 2%, testing your knowledge of one of the problems from this home work. . However, I may check your collection of problems should I need more information about your work.

Note: it is not enough to know the answers, understanding the problem and knowing the path to the solution is more important. Problems are meant to be done in sequence set.
