This is HW 5 problem set, due on Monday October 8, 2007 of the
PHY161H class for Fall 2007 Lecturer: J. Rafelski.

Note: it is not enough to know the answers, understanding the problem and knowing the path to the solution is more important. Problems are meant to be done in sequence set.

You are to submit before class begins Monday October 8, 2007 a completly worked out Test 1 (get pdf below), and to use in your solutions the energy conservation where appropriate-- "standardized" equations which are not laws of physics may not be used in the solution, unless you derive these. There will be a quiz on Monday, comprising one of the 5 problems, not exactly verbatim but almost. The quiz will be graded. The submission will be looked over and errors and omissions pointed out. Very good submissions will receive a bonus.

Test 1 pdf is found here.
