There are two distinct research thrusts:
  • Dynamics and Data: I am interested in problems that involve (evolutionary) dynamics, mostly from the geosciences, and observations of these processes. Specifically, I am interested in developing methodologies that allow us make forecasts and predictions taking into account stochasticity from dynamics and statistical variability (uncertainty quantification).
  • Ocean Dynamics: I am interested in wave-mean flow interactions, transport, nearshore processes, and the role of the ocean in climate processes.
