Theoretical Astrophysics Grants Program

January 2003 Cycle

The Theoretical Astrophysics Program is once again accepting one-page proposals to obtain small grants in support of astrophysics research at the University of Arizona. These $500->$1000 grants are to fund such things as hardware, travel, or professional supplies and will be judged in competition. Preference will be given to those proposals that support the largest number of researchers and/or that provide matching funds. No personnel costs can be included and we give no guarantee that proposals will be funded.

Please send the proposals to Donita Vanture donita@lpl.arizona.edu on or before Wednesday, April 30, 2003. Members from all three departments (Physics, Astronomy, and Planetary Sciences) at the University of Arizona are encouraged to apply. All equipment proposals should provide vendor names, realistic quotes, and the programmatic reasons for the specific hardware items requested.

Please address any questions regarding the program to Jonathan I. Lunine, TAP Chair.
