Pictures of the INT Program

At the end of each week of the program, the organizers awarded a prize to the participant that contributed most positively to the discussions. The award was named in honor of David B. Kaplan for his efforts to stir discussion within the nuclear physics community. It consisted of the symbolic delivery of an artistic sausage, celebrating David's famous slide at a Caltech colloquium. The sausage, made from newspaper following the traditional sausage-making procedure, is a creation of plastic artist Haroldo Lourencao.
